In our school age program at Sprouting Knowledge you will be caring for children ages 5-9 in an outdoor setting in a team of two leaders. Our programming philosophy focuses on play as a pathway for human expansion. Our leaders facilitate games, activities, conversations and explorations with a mindset towards fun and engagement.
With the guidance and resources of your director you will be responsible for executing our exciting school age program which is fully designed and planned for you. You will prepare your gear and materials before the start of program and arrive on site ready to implement a wide range of outdoor programs, activities, play and games.
As a program facilitator you are responsible for the physical and emotional safety of children. This is a role we take very seriously at Sprouting Knowledge. You must be committed to consistently being a safe adult and a mentor.
Qualified Applicants Possess:
- Valid First Aid with CPR
(Remote or Wilderness preferred) - Experience working in an outdoor setting
- Energetic, creative and engaging character traits
- Teamwork and communication Skills
- Punctuality and reliability
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- An ability to carry a large backpack and be physically able to walk up to 6km over various terrain.

Not necessary but bonus skills:
- Basic awareness of human psychology and development
- Basic knowledge of local flora and fauna
- Strong foundation in survival/outdoor knowledge and skills, with specific interests or passions

- Mon-Fri (SD73 school days)
