We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Parent and Child Facilitator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outdoor education, child development, and experiential learning. As a facilitator, you will lead engaging nature-based activities suitable for babies and toddlers, facilitate group discussions, and create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for families to explore the outdoors together.
Sprouting Knowledge is dedicated to fostering a love for the outdoors and environmental stewardship through experiential learning programs for families. Our outdoor programs provide opportunities for parents and children to connect with nature, learn new skills, and build lasting memories together in a supportive and enriching environment.
Qualifications:
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Previous experience working with children and families in an outdoor or educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of local flora, fauna, and ecosystems. (preferred)
- Ability to adapt to changing weather conditions and outdoor environments.
- Passion for outdoor education and environmental conservation.
- Creativity, flexibility, and a sense of adventure!
Nitty Gritty Details:
- Wage is $25/hr
- Classes are 1.5 hours generally starting at 9am and 11am
- Booked in 6 week sessions (spring & fall)
- We pay prep time!
- All materials provided (you are welcome to bring your own if you have them 🙂
